Culturally Engaging Campus Environments (CECE) Survey

During the 2016-2017 academic year, GMU worked with the NITE to conduct a school-wide assessment for its graduate students. The purpose of this assessment was to understand how GMU cultivates an inclusive, equitable, and supportive campus environment for diverse students. Through analyzing the data collected from the CECE graduate survey, this assessment produces insights regarding the graduate students’ perceptions and experiences of the GMU campus environments. This report offers a summary of the key findings and recommendations to inform institutional policies and practices that aim to achieve GMU’s mission as “innovative and inclusive academic community committed to creating a more just, free, and prosperous world” (The Mason Mission – Our Goal, 2017).
