The Office of Institutional Assessment administers surveys to Mason students and alumni to obtain information about student experiences and educational outcomes. Some surveys administered by OIA, such as exit surveys, are available online for students to access throughout the year. Additionally, OIA provides brief information about surveys that are currently conducted, with access to electronic versions of some locally developed survey instruments. The Question Inventory provided on this site allows users to search for survey items related to specific topics.
In order to help the Mason community in data gathering and use, OIA offers tips related to survey design, administration, and reporting that can be used by campus units.
